club house and wood ideas or prices?
i am thinking about making a pretty big club house type thing for the fall. im going to build it myself. its going to be insulated and roofed with shingles what store would be the cheapest to go to to get all of the stuff i need, home depot, busy beaver, or Lowe's? this house is for me and three of my friends. how big should i make it? and any other suggestions or ideas would be helpful. thanks for answering :]
First I think you should draw up a set of plans. Remember that lumber comes in standard sizes. OSB and plywood come in sheets that are 4' x 8' so keep all your dimensions a multiple of them and you will save on materials costs. When you figure your framing to go under the plywood, you want to keep it 16" on center (OC) or 24" OC because insulation is designed to fit in between studs spaced at those dimensions.
After you have your plans draw up, you can make yourself a list of all the materials you will need. Don't forget the nails and screws etc. Take your list and shop around.
When a contractor builds a house they will take the plans to a supplier (Home Depot or Lowe's pro desk for example) and get a bid from them to supply all the supplies. But because your project is much smaller I think you would save the most money by buying part from one supplier and part from another depending who is cheapest for what part. It depends on who is having the best sale. You need to shop around.
It must be strange to be a Manchester City fan at the moment. However, it's fair to say that these weren't against the toughest opposition in the league and yesterday the Italian suffered a rude awakening as his team crashed to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of a resurgent Everton side.
The result is likely to act as a wake-up call for Mancini who now knows that life in the Premier League isn't as easy as it must have seemed at first. He will also know that if he does want to break into the top four, he will have to offload some dead wood. Take Robinho for example. He doesn't look happy in a City shirt and there are rumours that his continued presence at the club is more down to the owners' fondness for him rather than the performances he has been putting in. Mancini has a big task on his hands and it remains to be seen how long he will be given to do it. He might have bitten off more than he can chew.
