please help!!!!(:
Firstly, mirror pics many times don't work unless the flash is off and there is great lighting in the room. I personally don't like taking these types of pics unless I'm showing off an outfit I like.
Okay, for different settings, I would of course suggest to turn off the flash and find a light to be near. I usually do this because I tend to not look good in flash. Also, set it on 10 second timer (most cameras have this option) so you can position the camera somewhere, making it easier to do a cute pose.
Be creative with poses, and use props if necessary. I'm weird, so I get random with this. I might growl at the camera and pretend to be a dinosaur, or have a stuffed animal snake curled around my neck (as in my avatar), or have a rubber band aimed at the camera (as I said I'm weird haha). You might be looking for cuteness, however, so have fun thinking up different poses.
Never take a picture at an angle straight above you, unless you move your head in the direction of it. Otherwise, this can be very unflattering.
It's a major no no, unless you are aiming for ridiculous. Just experiment with different picture angles and find your favorite. Maybe take a few in that same angle to find the best.
Make sure you look perfect! Do your make up and hair and put on a cute outfit, because people will notice.
Find a good place to take the picture. You don't want to be in front of or in an embarassing environment. If you are outside, use nature to your advantage. Also, you might want a tripod if you are outside, in case you want a picture of you sitting on a tree or something. ;]
Don't delete pictures on the spot...you might change your mind and end up liking it more than others.
When I'm done taking pictures, I usually go to www.picnik.com to edit them. It's sort of confusing at first, but once you get used to all the different settings, it's worth it. Experiment with all of their settings and see which you like best, and mix some together to see how it works.
I hope this has helped you!
